The business accounting software from Legler Systems Company is updated with a number of new features with seven of the most significant software enhancements described below. These new software features are designed to improve user productivity and provide real-time management information (dashboards) for better decision making and customer service in 2011.
The real-time Cash Management Dashboard is displayed at the bottom of the master financial menu for a specific cash account code specified by the user. The up-to-the-minute or real-time cash balance is shown from the last General Ledger closing. Also, an anticipated or future cash balance (including amounts not yet received or paid) is shown in the Cash Management Dashboard.
To support the real-time Cash Management Dashboard, the large screen (80x50) feature implemented in Version 9.0 is required to display the Cash Management Dashboard.
Whenever changes are made to Code Definition Records by procedure DB01 that affects specific General Ledger account code, the corresponding Account Master Record is automatically updated at the same time. These changes can be viewed by GL procedure GL19.
A new Dollar-Sign option is added to the User Control Record (DB08) that automatically displays a dollar sign ($) in dollar amount fields for added clearity. Each user can define his preference for displaying the dollar sign.
A new GL account code prompt is added to Inquire Customer Status (AR10) and Inquire Vendor Status (AP10) to allow the selection of invoices by a GL account code. This feature provides a capability to identify specific invoices to balance to dollar amounts shown in the real-time Cash Management Dashboard.
Two new information fields (Total-Paid and Balance-Due) are added to the Customer Invoice screens (AR02 and AR03). These new status fields are automatically calculated whenever a customer invoice is queried and are not entered by the user.
